Towards a Safer Europe

Towards a Safer Europe is Brussels' meeting point for thought leaders, policymakers and practitioners to focus on successfully rolling out key EU initiatives in the areas of border management, public safety and defence in the digital age.

PLEASE NOTE: this conference has been postponed and the new date will be announced shortly. To sign up for updates, please click here.

One year after this conference’s inaugural edition in 2017, it can be stated that major achievements have been reached toward “an innovative and agile Europe that protects citizens in the digital age” such as creating the Entry Exit System, designing ECRIS-TCN and; the operationalisation of the European Defence Fund. These objectives achieved, we can now prioritise taking a step back to focus on outstanding actions and to concretely reflect on the next strategic priorities for the forthcoming Commission. Two appear as critical and interlinked; filling information gaps through interoperability and bridging cooperation gaps by building strategic ecosystems.
