More Information

The 5th Annual Internet of Things Global Summit returns to Washington D.C on 10-11 October. This series of discussions, idea sharing, and networking is an opportunity to join the debate from the inside.

The Global Summit features key policymakers and leading industry stakeholders addressing the opportunities and benefits IoT brings.

Over the course of the two days, plenary sessions include room-wide discussions with an interactive format, and multiple networking opportunities. The summit investigates the IoT ecosystem in the United States, and globally, and how we harness it's incredible potential.

Hosted by Forum Global, we explore IoT tech trends and critical policy issues. We examine the effects shifting political environments in the US and beyond, may have on IoT investment and business models. Security, data innovation and ownership, connectivity, as well as the impact of IoT on the citizen are key areas of debate.

Key sessions include:

  • Cyber-criminality, security and risk in an IoT world
  • Critical infrastructure and IoT
  • Unlocking the value of the Industrial Internet of Things - moving from promise to reality
  • Key policy considerations for building the cars of tomorrow - what do industry stakeholders want from policymakers?
  • How are Smart Cities being developed and leveraged for the citizen?
  • Designing future-proof business models for the evolving IoT ecosystem
  • What blockchain means for you, and for the Internet of Things
  • Meeting the short and long-term connectivity requirements of IoT - approaches and technologies
  • IoT Data-ownership and licensing - who owns the data?
