Can insurance be a source of growth for Europe’s ailing economy? Insurance creates a virtuous cycle – it protects individuals whilst it creates investment funds and frees up capital for growth. Europe can be proud of having created the modern industry and the fact that 5/6 leading world reinsurers come from this continent (from UK, Germany, France and Switzerland). [McKinsey research shows that, compared to their US and Japanese competitors, Europe‘s insurers are instinctively international, and so are well placed to capitalise].

This workshop will explore the opportunities European insurers have to grow outside of EU borders.
