Jean-Francois Van Kerckhove heads eBay Inc. Corporate Strategy. His primary focus is on informing eBay Inc. long-term growth strategy and assisting with the execution of corporate priorities related to new growth ventures, strategic alliances and M&A. One particular area of interest relates to improving connecting and empowering buyers and sellers globally and across borders.

Prior to joining eBay Inc., Jean-Francois was the SVP of Strategy and Business Development at Spirent Communications, and a co-leader of McKinsey&Company’s West Coast Technology and Corporate Finance practices in Palo Alto, California.

Earlier in his career, Jean-Francois was a Systems Engineering manager at DSC Communications, and started his career as a Research Scientist with Alcatel Corporate Research in Belgium.Jean-Francois is a regular Board member to private companies and advisor to private equity companies. He is a Board member of INSEAD’s West Coast Council and holds multiple internet and communications related patents.

Jean-Francois holds an MBA from INSEAD and an MSEE from the K.U. Leuven.

Dr. Andrej Busch has been a member of the Divisional Board of DHL Parcel Germany since 2007. He is in charge of marketing.

From 2003 to 2007 he worked as a associate principal and corporate consultant with Mc Kinsey & Company, Inc. in Düsseldorf. In early 2007 Andrej Busch left the renowned consulting company to take up his new task with the Divisional Board of DHL Parcel Germany at Deutsche Post DHL.

He studied law at the universities of Passau, Würzburg, Melbourne and The Hague and obtained a doctoral degree from the Julius Maximilian University in Würzburg.

Andrej Busch was born on 29 December 1975. He is married.

Since June 2009, Pablo Arias Echeverría serves as a Member of the European Parliament (Spanish EPP Delegation). Mr Arias is a member of the Committee on Internal Market and Consumer Protection as well as a member of the Delegation to the EU-Russia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee. Currently, he is the Rapporteur of the Own Initiative Report on "Completing the Internal Market for e-commerce".

Before serving as Assistant to the former Spanish Prime Minister José María Aznar López between 2002 to 2004 and as his Executive Adviser since 2004, he was Deputy Executive Secretary of the Brussels-based CDI (Centrist Democrat International) from 2000 to 2002.

Mr. Arias Echevarría holds a Diploma in Marketing, a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management and a Public Management Leadership Program (PLGP) from the IESE Business School (Madrid, 2008-2009).

David has worked for the European Commission since 1995 and in consumer policy since 1998. In consumer policy he has been involved in policy strategy, enforcement issues and more recently consumer research, data and statistics. Since September 2007 he is head of a new unit on consumer market monitoring and analysis, responsible for the Commission's new Consumer Markets Scoreboard. Before the Commission he worked for the UK Treasury in Brussels and London and has also worked in the City of London as a corporate financier and in the British Army. He studied History at Cambridge University. He is married with two daughters.

Kostas Rossoglou is a Greek qualified lawyer, member of the BAR of the Thessalonica, in Greece.

Kostas holds the position of legal officer at BEUC. He has been working at BEUC’s Legal Department since January 2009 and is leading BEUC’s Digital Team, with his main area of expertise being IPRs and the digital single market. He has been working on a number of EU policy developments, including on copyright exceptions and limitations, private copying levies, licensing of content online, copyright term extension, ACTA and IPR enforcement. Kostas has been representing consumers in a number of expert groups of the European Commission on IPR related issues, such copyright levies, multi-territory licensing of content online and online counterfeiting. Kostas is also the Team Leader of BEUC’s Group Actions Team and a member of the Team on consumer redress and consumer contracts.

BEUC is a Brussels-based organisation representing forty three reputed independent consumer associations from some thirty European countries (EU, EEA and applicant countries). BEUC investigates EU decisions and developments likely to affect consumers, with a special focus on eight areas identified as priorities by our members: Energy & Sustainability, Financial Services, Food, Health, Safety, Consumer Contracts, Digital and Group Action

In November 2005, Christopher was asked to lead the SENE Region, Southern Northern Eastern Europe.
In this role, Christopher has the responsibility for defining and executing the strategy, managing the P& L, and hiring and retaining top talent, for the following six localized countries: France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Poland. In addition, the other 37 non-localized European countries are part of the SENE region.

Christopher joined PayPal in January 2004 as Country Manager France, and as employee # 1.

SENE revenues under his tenure have more than quintupled, he oversaw the launches of the localized sites in France, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Poland, and he has grown a top-talent team from 15 to 80 people. He has also negotiated innovative deals with European banks, such as BNP.

An experienced TV anchor, she presents the news program “Journal” and hosts the talk show “Quadriga” on Deutsche Welle-TV.

Dr. Crane studied history and political science at Brown University and law at Harvard. She received her PhD in political economy at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.

As International Affairs Consultant to the discussion show “Sabine Christiansen” she produced interviews with Kofi Annan, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, and George Bush, among others.

Her journalistic experience includes work for the “New York Times Magazine”, ”The Boston Globe Sunday Magazine,” “The Boston Globe,” the “Christian Science Monitor” and German newspapers and magazines.

Areas of expertise include: transatlantic politics; energy, climate and environment; transport and communication; globalization, finance and trade; science and medicine (including pharma); migration and integration; women, youth and education; new media and the internet.
