The 2013 M2M & Internet of Things Global Summit was held in Washington DC on October 1-2, and provided a high-level meeting point for all representatives from the global M2M & IoT communities. With contributions from many of the main stakeholders from the US and beyond, this conference took a comprehensive look at the latest technologies and innovations in the field of The Internet of Things. 2012 - The 2nd Annual Americas Spectrum Management Conference
The 2nd Annual Americas Spectrum Management Conference took place on the 23 & 24 October 2012 in Washington D.C. With contributions from all of the main stakeholders at both a policy and industry level from the US, Canada and Latin America, the conference took a comprehensive look at spectrum management policies across the Americas region. It offered the chance to look at best practices in areas such as increasing efficiency of spectrum bandplans, the linkage between spectrum allocation and competition issues in the mobile sector, Incentive Auctions, increasing access to broadband services, Dynamic and Shared Spectrum Access, as well as the possible scope and benefits of deepening co-ordination of spectrum policy across the Americas, and by bringing in speakers from the EU and Asia, the debate also extended to a global level. 2011 - The inaugural Americas Spectrum Management Conference
The inaugural Americas Spectrum Management Conference (19th & 20th October) was an opportunity to look at best practices in areas such as auction design, maximising spectrum efficiency, the award of digital dividend spectrum and the provision of broadband coverage for rural areas. In addition, the conference looked ahead to key issues to be considered at WRC-12, as well as the possible scope and benefits of deepening co-ordination of spectrum policy across the Americas, and by bringing in speakers from the EU and Asia, the debate was also extended to a global level.
