Booking Terms and Conditions

 

By registering for this event, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

 

1. Your booking will be confirmed by email upon receipt of your registration.

 

2. Payments to Forum Europe Ltd by bank transfer must include any costs demanded by your local bank in your country of origin for transferring money.

 

3. For paying delegates, should you wish to cancel your participation up to 3 days prior to the event, you can do so without penalty. Beyond this point a €25 euro admin fee will be applicable, and no refunds given. Please contact Lula Howard on lula.howard@forum-europe.com for cancellations. Please note, there will be no cancellation fee applicable for delegates who register using a discount code supplied by EBF.

The European Banking Federation, as representative of the banking sector in Europe, organizes a range of events in Brussels and Frankfurt, as well as online to support its advocacy agenda. When you register you are invited to accept the terms and conditions as formulated below.

 

Data protection & Disclaimer

EBF hereby informs you that it collects, processes and stores, in electronic or paper form, the personal data that are included in the present registration form, according to the provisions of the applicable legislation on personal data, namely the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (‘General Data Protection Regulation’), as well as the applicable Belgian data protection legislation, and according to the terms and conditions set below: 

 

By registering for EBF events, you agree that your personal data will be processed by the European Banking Federation for registration and handling purposes, as well as for sending you information in connection with all EBF’s events. The above personal data will not be disclosed to a third party without the registrant’s explicit written consent. The legal bases of the above processing are your written consent granted hereby and the serving of the legitimate interests of EBF. Please refer to the EBF Data Protection Policy and Privacy Policy that can be consulted at: www.ebf.eu/disclaimer.  If you do not submit the data indicated as “required”, we cannot complete your registration.

 

The above personal data will be accessible and processed by authorized employees of EBF, who will process the personal data solely for the fulfilment of the aforementioned purposes, and in no case for their own benefit. Furthermore, some of the above personal data will be accessible and processed, within the framework of their responsibilities, by authorized external associates of EBF for the fulfilment of the aforementioned purposes. Any further transfer of personal data to any third person or to a country outside the European Union, will take place only in case that it is provided so by the aforementioned legislation.

 

Subject to the exceptions, conditions and limitations provided by the applicable legislation, you can exercise your right of access, rectification, restriction of processing, objection, erasure of the above personal data, as well as the right to data portability. In case you exercise one of the aforementioned rights, EBF will take any possible measure for the prompt satisfaction of your request, according to the specific provisions and conditions of the applicable legislation, and shall inform you in writing regarding the satisfaction of your request, or for the reasons that prevent the exercise of the right by you or the satisfaction of one or more of the aforementioned rights according to the applicable legislation.

 

In addition, you may at any time withdraw your present consent, without however affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal and the processing based on other legal basis. We inform you that in case of withdrawal of your consent, we may not be able to use the above personal data and notify you for events, informational material and matters concerning EBF in general.

 

Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, in case you consider that the processing of your personal data is against the applicable legislation.

 

The EBF may not be held responsible for any loss, injury or damage to any property, whatever the cause may be in relation to its events. Liability of persons and enterprises providing means of transportation or other services, however, remains unaffected.

 

EBF reserves the right to amend, postpone or withdraw the event for any reason should any circumstances arise that are outside EBF’s control, such as force majeure including, but not limited to, fire, flood, strikes, labour disputes, war, blockades, riots, acts and/or threats of terrorism and the unavailability of means of transport. EBF will endeavour to amend or postpone the event but shall not be held responsible for any costs, damages or expenses incurred by registrants.

 

Any travel/accommodation costs incurred are entirely the registrants’ responsibility. EBF does not accept any liability for reimbursement of travel costs unless otherwise stated.

 

All issues, questions and disputes concerning the validity, interpretation, enforcement, performance or termination stemming from EBF events shall be exclusively governed and construed in accordance with Belgian law. All disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of Brussels, without prejudice to EBF’s right to initiate proceedings under the laws and before the courts of the registrant’s registered office in the event that any sums are due by the registrant to EBF.

 

Photographs and videos

The aforementioned data protection legislation is also applicable to photography, video and audio, which are also personal data. EBF reserves the right to photograph, videotape and/or record its conferences and all its attendees and to use these photographs and videos in both printed and digital form in any internal and external communication related to EBF’s purposes including, but not limited to, its websites and mobile applications, social media pages, event daily newspapers, conference programme, newsletters, publications and annual reports. 

 

By registering to EBF events you grant your consent to being photographed, filmed and/or recorded on behalf of EBF. More over, when registering to EBF events, the registrant explicitly agrees to the use of these photographs, videos and/or recording in both printed and digital form in various channels where EBF disseminates information about its activities, as described above.

 

EBF can use the photographs, videos and audio without any compensation in perpetuity solely for EBF’s purposes. Any personal data will be solely used in accordance with current EU and Belgian data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the Registrant‘s prior written consent.
