Session 3: Public Procurement of Cloud Computing: Development of US Cloud First Policy and global perspectives

The US Federal Cloud First Policy was implemented to reduce costs and improve services by pushing federal agencies to move their applications to Cloud services. However, a full, secure and effective adoption of Cloud Computing services by federal agencies will only be achieved if the technology procurement process evolves with the technology cycle.

This session will analyse how successful the Cloud First Policy has been and what needs to be improved in order to ensure efficiency, competitiveness, global leadership and cost effectiveness.
