EDiMA, the European Digital Media Association, is an alliance of Internet and new media companies whose members include Amazon EU, Apple, eBay, Expedia, Google, Microsoft, MIH Group, Nokia, Yahoo! Europe, Orange and others. EDiMA’s members provide Internet and new media platforms offering users a wide range of online services, including the provision of audiovisual content, media, E-commerce, communications and information/search services.

EDiMA represents Internet platform businesses in EU policy formation, on matters affecting the online environment and believes EU policy should maximise the development of new online services and business models to the benefit of innovators and EU consumers. Accordingly, EDiMA follows and is engaged at EU-level in regulatory and policy developments relating to content online, intellectual property rights in the online environment, the liability regime for Internet intermediaries, consumer rights issues related to E-Commerce and the use of online platforms, and more broadly, the development of a European Digital Single Market facilitating innovative online services. EDiMA supports policy initiatives that are pro-consumer and promote innovation and growth in the Internet sector and digital economy.

They go through the full range of emotions and conceptual breakdown that comes with grasping the territory, the full logistical, business, social and philosophical implications of the Internet of Things.  Council thinktank aims to grow into a positively critical counterpart to these negativities in focusing on the quality of interaction and potentialities of IOT for social, communicative and economic (personal fabrication, participatory finance, alternative currencies) connectivity between humans, humans and things and humans and their surroundings. Council highlights a personal history of locative media & hybrid spaces, by professionals of the i3 (Intelligent Information Interfaces) days, as well as the latest tools and applications, workshops on key issues, short keynotes and time for debate and discussion.

EMOTA, the European Multi-channel and Online Trade Association, is the umbrella organisation of at present 23 national associations representing the interests of e-retailers and multi-channel distance sellers.

EMOTA members’ associate companies offer a competitve range of goods and services including clothing, books, consumer electronics, cosmetics, furniture, gardening articles and wines. As early adopters of online technology, they have seen their internet operations make impressive progress over the past few years.
